Hi, Learn guitar at my studio in Shoreline. I am well versed in many styles - Blues, Rock, Finger picking, Classical and Jazz. I take input from my students to help craft a personal program to help make their learning experience both productive and enjoyable regardless of student's experience level. I'm a Berklee College of Music (Boston, Mass.) Alumni teaching guitar for over 25 years with students of all ages. I have taught at the U/WA (Exco) and Seattle U. Even as a quite advanced guitar player Ken had a lot of material (exercises, songs, theory, etc.) for me to work on and I could easily hear the improvements in my playing as time went on. Above all that, he kept each lesson fun, rather than solely exercises and monotonous work!

Ken really knows his stuff and will make sure that you get good technique but he’s also into the fun side of playing guitar by teaching you songs and jamming with you at the end of the lesson with abandon and full back up sound of his studio equipment. You feel like you’re in a rock band every lesson. He has a professional studio set up so he can also provide you with backing tracks to practice with at home if you’re more technical. I’ve improved a lot thanks to Ken’s fun and informative style of teaching.

We've been working with Ken since September for our 11 year old's electric guitar lessons. We've been pleased with Ken's professionalism, structure and teaching style. Our son has learned a great deal in a short time after being away from lessons for two years and enjoys his lessons a lot. Ken is a great guy to work with and the studio is a nice place for private lessons. We've had the opportunity to meet a few of his other students around my son's lesson times, and it's clear that Ken is able to teach and work with a wide variety of ages and levels. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a mutual interview with your guitar. We ask questions and talk about music. I'll ask you to play a few things. We talk about goals and music you like.

Berklee College Of Music, Boston, Mass.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach guitar and bass in a fun easy way in a studio setting with many resources to draw from. Adult students are welcome. Student must have an instrument and time to pratice.
