Andrew has a huge connection with Mother Earth and her vegetation. He truly loves plants, trees, grass and rocks and he has not only a professional education as a landscape designer, he has an innate ability to understand and communicate with nature. He is a perfectionist and always tries his best to do a great job and clean up afterwards. In addition he has many many other skills and he can build and fix things. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in fisheries sciences, spent 2 years working for the Dept. of Ecology's Washington Conservation Corps doing habitat restoration and invasive plant removal/restoration, and have been working in the field of landscaping/gardening for 8+ years with companies and clients both big and small.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After graduating college and working in a lab my final semester, i looked for a job working outdoors and started doing habitat restoration in Seattle for the Washington Conservation Corp and Department of Ecology in 2008. after completing 2 years of service I went on to learn from a talented residential landscaper who specializes in permaculture and urban landscape design, and that led to me starting my own landscaping business.
