I paid $220 for a move-out clean, and while the work wasn't terrible, it was incomplete and fell far short of what a proper move-out clean should be on the first pass. Photo evidence showed missed areas throughout: dirty window sills and tracks, wall and ceiling splatters, floor grime, un-wiped under-sink cabinets, and hair/debris left in vanity drawers. The bathroom had clear half-measures—one side of the toilet was wiped down while the other side was completely ignored.
Furthermore, their standard move-out checklist explicitly includes 'Clean window blinds,' but management tried to claim thorough blind cleaning required an extra fee that was never disclosed upfront ( and is not listed under the extra fee's spot before booking ) so I declined having that done and did it myself. When I asked management directly if the cabinets had been cleaned, she confirmed they were, which photos proved was untrue. Asking for proof of completion while I was at work only yielded a few quick photos and a sped-up video, which looked very good at first until I went into the unit when I got off of work.
I sent photo proof at 4:28 PM on Sunday, but management didn't respond until the following morning. While they did send someone back to fix it, I had to rush back after work just to unlock the unit for them. This pushed back my key handover to my landlord by an entire day. Working in property management myself and overseeing unit turns, I know what a true turn-key move-in standard looks like. To an untrained eye it might look fine, but it was far from ready. It wasn't a catastrophic clean, but having to manage quality control and coordinate a second visit defeats the whole purpose of paying for a professional service.
