When I moved into my single bedroom apartment in April 2020, it was my first time living alone. Ever. All previous decorating decisions had been made by a committee of roommates. But here was my chancethe opportunity to discover my aesthetic and to implement fully. I felt the need to do it right. I approached MG Interiors. As a complete novice to the design world, Matthew treated me with patience, honesty, and professionalism throughout the process. He introduced me to styles I never had considered, encouraged me to ask questions, and even fully furnished my apartment under budget! For those reasons alone, I could recommend MG Interiors wholeheartedly. But if theres one thing that puts Matthew above the top, its that Matthew ensured my design was a reflection of all the things that bring me joy. And that thoughtfulness is precisely why I have never been happier to call my apartment my home.

Matthew has such a natural gift at just understanding a space and how to make it look its best. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and were so overwhelmed with trying to pick out what would look good with what and how to maximize our small space. The contractors we hired left all the decision making to us but we had no idea where to start or what we wanted for our kitchen. Matthew came to a show room with us and helped us choose options that best suited our space and existing floors. He thoroughly explained how different options might tie in well together or how they might not be a good match. He was very knowledgeable, down to Earth and fun to work with. Also not to mention patient and responsive to my abundance of questions. I felt a huge sigh of relief having someone to help me navigate exactly what I wanted for our kitchen. Thank you Matthew for all your help! Would recommend and would love to work with you again!

When my husband and I moved into our first apartment together, Matthew helped us to balance our differing priorities to create a space where we are both comfortable and happy! Matthew gave us great advice on how to arrange and decorate our space on a tight budget. He is fun, professional, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend MG Interiors!

I moved into a house with my boyfriend and another couple of friends and was struggling to incorporate our things into a balanced aesthetic. Matthew created some great floor plans and mood boards that maximized our homes storage and functionality, harmonized all of our styles, and provided easy-to-follow decor guidelines so we didnt have to give up valued pieces or buy a ton of new stuff. So grateful to have had his help!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer three main packages: Virtual Design Plan, In-Person Design Plan, and the Full Makeover Package. Each package is set at a flat rate based on the number of rooms involved. I do not charge mark-ups on items, and there are no additional fees for revisions.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After choosing a design package, we will meet virtually or in-person to decide on the floor plan. Once we have the layout, I will create a custom mood board and shopping list. If you purchased a design plan, you will implement the plan yourself. If you purchased the Makeover Package, I will coordinate a laborer team to implement the design and style your space(s).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My mentor is a successful interior designer and entrepreneur who has worked with celebrity designer Thom Filicia and been featured on HGTV, The Today Show, and more. I also have a BFA in Digital Art where I learned design principles and visual communication.
