- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out in entry-level event setup and worked my way up to coordinating the largest events at my institution. Working on big budget events is stressful in its own way, but the smaller budget events require me to be the most creative. The variance between the two types of events makes every day interesting, and I'll never tire of it.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I took on a traditional Bangladeshi-Muslim engagement ceremony two weeks before the event date. The venue was booked, but nothing else was done. While I struggled with some aspects, I learned a lot, the event itself was beautiful, and the attendees had a blast.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you need clarification on something, do not be afraid to ask. I know your event is important to you, and I want to make sure you understand what is happening so that you're happy -- that's what's most important to me.
