Jillian helped me get through a particularly harrowing prep for movers. The task involved organizing and identifying what we could have in storage for a month while floors were being installed through much of the house. She also sorted and packed. She was immeasurably helpful! Hope to get her back to help with moving back only better:).

Jillian was hired to help me with the first layer of design which was paint colors and choosing flooring for the 5 yr old townhome we had just purchased. This was quite a task as we were so busy getting our new place ready and preparing to downsize from a larger place as well as sell this place and all of this was happening in a very short time. Jillian worked hard for us and worked around our crazy busy schedule. She was fun and upbeat to work with. She took our vision of what we wanted and helped us to turn our plain vanilla surroundings into a more contemporary and colorful vision. We love the floors and what the addition of the right colors can do for a home. She also has helped us in choosing a great sofa. Now she is helping us to choose lighting, storage options, and window treatments. She is also budget conscious and will work hard to find deals on products and services.

I have had some time to put things into perspective before I open my mouth. Using Jillian was the worse experience I have ever had with hiring someone. She followed thru with not one thing she said she was going to do, except take my $300.00 dollars. Oh Ya, did I mention every other word on my email was swearing at me and blaming me for everything I did wrong! Jillian needs to hold her tongue and act professional, regardless of her personal problems. I have to laugh......Chicken was on the menu and she makes chili and when I confronted her, she called me a BITCH....WOW I would of love to gotten my money back, but she had already spent it and funny thing is, I don't have all my food. GO FIGURE!!!

Oddly, I had a feeling early on in our communication that I should walk away from this opportunity. I regret not doing so, especially after reading this review stuffed with lies, but feel a need to respond to this so that anyone reading it does NOT confuse me with vendors who take your money and run. I did NOTHING of the sort and abhor people who do. One, I have over 15 years experience as a caterer/private chef who's cooked for thousands of people. I also do Interior Design and Professional Organizing (thus this profile). I have NEVER called a client names to their face or via email, nor do I swear every other word. I do swear, but not at a client. Two, I bent over backward, forward and sideways for this client. She was "too busy" to read the 5 page menu I sent her with ALL of my entrees and options on it, nor could she respond to a brief questionnaire so that I could customize my menu for her needs. Instead she demanded that I meet with her in person. In doing so, she told me that she could not cook BUT told me I should run my business and that I was "different" from her past cooks. ("Where are they?" I wondered.) She continued to insult me and my business and how I run it continually via backhanded emails saying how she hoped I was well and to think positive. (I was undergoing cancer testing and sick a lot) On 2/26, I delivered 6 meals and snacks with instructions on how to re-heat or cook ALL of them. I also custom made a menu for her and created a special custom breakfast burrito for her daughter. I did this I might add AFTER buying a bunch of food prior to this and the next day getting an email saying that she was going out of town and they'd pick up when they got back. This PERSONALLY COST ME ADDITIONAL MONEY, which Michelle seemed to have no regard or take accountability for. I'd made chili as a bonus item (because it had snowed) and had the chicken ready to cook the next day. In the end, she got BOTH, so again, I'm not sure why she's complaining. I offered Michelle all that I could before I told her I was done here. In her last email, (which I received as I was on the way to have a surgical procedure) she said that she was involving her husband's office manager and they would be calling me. That's when (after 4 attempts including offering a bonus meal of grilled salmon and quinoa) to make her happy, that I told her this was between she and I, and told her how I was going to resolve it. At that point I decided to take care of my health, filter her email and know that 1 upset customer out of thousands I've cooked for, is not a bad average. Some people can't be satisfied or pleased, no matter how hard we try, and BOY did I try here!

This is my first experience with using Thumb tack, and Jillian responded right away. That was great, as we are in process of selling our home, and I needed a stager as soon as possible. Jillian came over that same night! I found her to be very easy to talk to, and very honest and gave me great ideas! It was good to get an expert opinion on decor and furniture placement so our home would look larger and more appealing to more buyers. Jillian helped me "de personalize" so that they could better imagine their own belongings in the home. She was very sensitive to our wanting to stay on a budget, and gave me great ideas regarding paint and decor color choices, which we implemented, and it came out great! I feel very satisfied and happy about my experience with Jillian, and I was impressed with her caring and helpful nature. She is a good communicator, who is passionate about helping you attain the best overall result from her services. She even gave me "homework" on additional details we could do for further improvements. Thank you Jillian!

Thank you! I had a great time staging, "de-personalizing" without dehumanizing and transforming your downstairs into a 4th bedroom! I wish you well and wait to organize your move and see the new place!
