Kendall has helped me move from being afraid to work out to looking forward to it! Kendall is a very skilled personal trainer. More than that, he is a genuine person who truly wants what is best for you. Kendall helped me overcome my fears about working again out after a long hiatus, gaining a lot of weight, and having a number of injuries. His ability and willingness to adapt planned exercises is top notch and helped me stay on the move for over a year now. I am successfully working out multiple times per week thanks to Kendall's patience, guidance, and encouragement. Kendall is one of the best motivators I have ever seen! When he started with me I was bed bound in a nursing home for a few months unable to move any of my limbs. *Six sessions package review* I have lived a sedentary lifestyle (too much computer!) for most of my adulthood (21-31) with minuscule to no training. I've been to the gym maybe a handful of times during that time? I decided to do something about it finally, and am glad I found Kendall. He is a great teacher of technique, a "positivity"-driven motivator, and will be by your side to talk with you when you're out of breath and on the ground for 10 minutes! He creates lesson plans daily and then uploads them to a Google drive where you can look at them later. I say an area is sore, he pinpoints it and details the reason why it is. Also if it hurts too much, he cuts that exercise immediately. He is diligent about avoiding injury. Communication is great. I also had to postpone a session once, and we rescheduled, no problem! After three sessions, I was fiddling with my computer chair settings that have been set for 2 years+. I didn't think much of it until after the sixth workout where I realized my posture had improved! It just felt super crisp and natural. It was quite a "eureka" moment for me that I need this in my life. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We offer low end and high end training packages depending on the frequency chosen by the client This being said we have a training package that will fit everyone’s budget. I have always felt that finances should never get in the way of clients success.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We offer a complementary initial consultation for prospective clients pointing them in the right direction to get them started on their fitness journey. After finding the "IT" factor in their goals and learning more about the client, we then take them through a 20 to 30 minute assessment where we focus on the strengths and weakness that the prospective client may have and all the while explaining the time frame that they can expect to achieve their goals and teaching them how and why our training programs and guidance will get them where they want to be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?All of the trainers at Tier 1 Body have a background in some sport. We are all certified in one of the 5 top 5 certifications in the United States. We all live the life of health and fitness and have our own unique training program. Kendall is NASM certified and played football and was a member of the Armed forces for 10 years. That background makes him an excellent choice for those who have sports performance as a goal. My years in the military helping my fellow sailors lose enough weight in 6 months to get within Navy standards make me an ideal trainer for those looking to shed those extra pounds fast. Finally I have worked for a few big box gyms over the years as a trainer, manager and district manger. This experience has helped me hone all my skills and has given me access to a number of people types of all fitness levels. John is one of the most knowledgeable professionals I have met. He stays on the pulse of all the news about fitness, nutrition and training. It’s why he is the number two guy here at Tier 1 Body. His level of discipline is unparalleled, he trains himself hard and holds himself to a higher standard. And this he translates over to his clients...giving his all and expecting no less from his clients.
