I enthusiastically recommend Nola and her team. I hosted a unique event at my home and my main goal was to make the guests feel appreciated and special. Thanks to Nola, every guest loved the delicious food--young and old, and different cultural backgrounds. There was a theme to the menu and each had its unique flavor, texture and color; she even created a recipe for a new dish. Nola brought floral dÃ©cor to compliment mine. Nola consulted on layout and best flow to the event order. Nola was a gracious hostess and made everyone feel taken care of. They cleaned the kitchen, guests' service ware and put the leftovers on my own dishes so I had nothing left to do. I hope to have the opportunity to have them cater again soon.
Chef Ken led a small cooking class at my parents house for my Mom's birthday dinner. The food was outstanding, he was a great teacher, and very personable. We plan to work with him again in the future.
We were planing a graduation dinner event last minute. When I posted to hire a private chef through Thumbtack, a few chefs approached me. After talking with each chef, I finally chose BG private chef. He is easy to communicate with and met our requests. During the dinner, he was very approachable but still professional. The price was reasonable too. We enjoyed his cooking and service.
A vegetarian cooking class for 7, gluten/milk dairy/corn free, Egyptian/Moroccan/Turkish cuisine...Aubrey was able to do all of this for us. She was so flexible from start to finish in scheduling, menu planning, ingredients & tools. DELICIOUS food, fun personality, easy to follow instruction. She did all the shopping, supplemented tools and ingredients we didn't have, and went to town in our kitchen. Best menu options for vegetarians! Highly recommend Aubrey.
Joy catered our wedding on Whidbey Island, WA on 08/02/2014 and she did a fantastic job!! She came to our house to do the private tasting bringing all of the dishes with her and left us with the leftovers! Everyone at the wedding loved the food. We got the buffet service and it worked great! They were timely, professional, and they went out of their way to set up and take down without being in the way. Great service all around!
Chef Olive is possibly the most creative person I know. That and her natural instinct about flavors make her possess the almost miraculous capability of turning any ordinary ingredients into a fine dish. Her creation always has a disarming simple elegance that reminds you of the best home cuisine, and a surprising sophistication that makes you want to taste it again, and again. From the raw ingredients to the final presentation of the dishes, the sight, the sound, the smell and the taste make having her cooking for my private parties the most delicious esthetic experience.
Chef David Boyd- Private Chef-Down to Earth Cuisine "Delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes"- On August 7th I hired Private Chef David Boyd to prepare an Italian Dinner for 10 in my home. (I had offered the "Italian Dinner for 8" as an auction item not knowing at the time who I would hire) He (and his lovely wife, also hired to assist him) arrived at 1pm to begin cooking for the 5:30pm event. Earlier in the week, we met to decide on the menu, appropriate tableware and wine/beverage pairings for the 5 course menu. We went with a Northern Italian theme featuring peaches because they were in season and seafood. I handled the purchase of the wine and cocktail ingredients but paid half of the per person food cost up front so that he could do all the grocery shopping which he did using local fish/meat stores and organically grown fruit and veggies from our area farmers market. He also arrived with all of his own knives and most utensils needed though he did use my mixing bowls and cookware. The entire meal was then prepared in our kitchen. Because he makes everything from scratch like croutons, mayonnaise, sugared garnish for the dessert etc. it is very time consuming, labor intensive and requires full use of your kitchen. He and his wife worked hard and fast for the 4.5 hours before guests arrived. They were conscientious and they cleaned and emptied the garbage etc. as they went. The result was delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes that my husband and I were proud to serve to our guests. I would suggest discussing the estimated prep time for individual menu items as well as the per person cost ahead of time. Chef David seems capable of working within any reasonable budget, but he does require a lot of prep time if you choose complex menu items so that factors into his hourly rate. I think the dinner cost me more than what guests paid at the auction but that's totally my fault for not being more clear about my budget and for suggesting such complex ideas like an appetizer of scallops served in some sea shells I had. All in all, it was a very impressive, well paced, 5 course meal, and my guests enjoyed hearing Chef David explain the details of each delicious course as it was served. It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy my guests rather than stress about the food and clean-up. A really fun experience! BEST FOOD EVER! ! ! ! Courtney really put her heart and soul into her cooking. I hired her for a BBQ for the Search and Rescue training event. Everything was delicious and fresh. Even, the price was right. I was impressed with the professionalism and execution of the service. I would highly recommend hiring Courtney for you next event!
Shauna was amazing to work with - she provided an incredible meal for our wedding and also took on the burden of supplying rentals. Everything went on without a hitch, and was a great experience! Late into our engagement, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We saw the wedding as an opportunity to have a break from everything life has been throwing at us, and with Shauna's help it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend reaching out to Entropy Cooks if you are looking for a caterer for your event. The food was incredible, the service was great, the price was more than reasonable, and the experience was everything we had hoped and more.
I contacted Yary to make 5 meals x 2 servings as a holiday present for my husband. Her quick and thorough response provided an excellent customer service experience. She did all the grocery shopping, the cooking, and we simply put the meals in the freezer! We have already enjoyed the delicious seafood paella!

We hired Noah to prepare and serve a brunch for 18 people @ a private home. He and his food were outstanding! I have catered many an event and seldom is it perfect. This was everything I could have hoped for and more. by the way, he is also very professional.
I have enjoyed my cooking classes with Fumiko and continue to do so. I have tried different recipes (Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian cuisines) that I usually would've never thought of making with her and it has been a fun process. The prices of her classes are a good deal. Fumiko is friendly and down to earth. I never thought I would be into cooking but working with Fumiko, I enjoy it now. I would highly recommend her.

Yary and her friendly and talented staff prepared a delicious Spanish meal for 90, at our summer celebration. They decorated the tables and also served. Yary made the planning easy. My husband and I like to have parties but usually wear ourselves out by doing everything. It was so nice to have Yary taking care of all the party details so we could enjoy our guests and even feel like a guest at our party! We highly recommend Di' Tu Inc and will hire them again.
My mother is Japanese and we moved from Japan to the US when I was a child. I grew up eating all kinds of Japanese foods. Unfortunately, I didnt have the interest in cooking until later in life and never learned my mothers culinary secrets until I found Chef Kanako Koizumi at PCC Cooks. Chef Kanako takes the time to provide lots of interesting information about Japanese cuisine, explains each of the steps, and simplifies the mysteries of Japanese cuisine. My friends and I have taken many of Chef Kanako's classes. We once drove 45 minutes to take her Tofu class and it was well worth the drive. Other classes were Japanese Breakfast, Sushi making and Shojin Japanese Cuisine class. Four years ago, we took her Japanese Nabe: One pot dish class. Totally Awesome Class! Chef Kanako borrowed extra large Japanese Nabe pots from her friends for this hands-on-class. Each table of 4 students had their own hot pot in which to prepare their Japanese Nabes. Chef Kanako walked us through each step and came around to each team to give us individual coaching. The meal was so delicious that I actually made all of the Nabe recipes from the class that same evening for my family. Since taking this Japanese Nabe class, I now make Japanese Nabe 3 or 4 times every winter. It's a great dish to make for large groups. I am not sure that I would have had the confidence to tackle this dish had I not taken Chef Kanakos hands-on-class. I commend Chef Kanako for being so thorough and so very motivating. She should be on Food Network and have her own show! My friends and I will absolutely take future classes taught by Chef Kanako because of her passion and interest in teaching, her sharing of recipes, and her stories from Japan.
I took two series of cooking classes for busy people and I wished there were another series of classes from Nancy. I enjoyed every class and I learned a whole new way of cooking healthy meals to last me a lifetime. Nancy is a fantastic teacher! She has the technical expertise of a trained chef and the passion of someone who loves what she does with people. She is able to give her students a framework that allows people to think about cooking in a whole new dimension. I am a diabetic and taking Nancy's classes has allowed me to understand how I can manage my chronic disease in a healthy manner by expanding my choices of food and flavoring my recipes with herbs in place of salt and sugar. Learn to cook from a native Indian chef who learned all her cooking from her mother and grandmother in India. She has been teaching in local cooking schools in the Seattle area, and she also teaches out of her home in Bellevue. Also, she teaches ayurvedic cooking. All classes are custom menus based on input received from the group. Group sizes are small, and is taught out of an Indian kitchen, with special emphasis on spices and instruments suited for this style of cooking.
