FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
-I charge $75/hr for online lessons and at the moment I do not travel due to COVID. -No extra charges for groups (eg: siblings). -I take pride in my work and would never charge a student if I am unable to help them with their work. I am willing to look over the content ahead of time and let you know if it's something I will be able to tutor.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to get to know the student and hear about their experience in the class or for the exam, including anything from their feelings to their study habits. I then work with them to identify places that they could improve and explain the role that I can play. I am willing to do basically anything in the sessions, but I recommend that students come to me with a set of questions that they have so I can clear them up and the student can leave with a thorough understanding of the topic.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
PhD: Physics (University of Washington) MS: Physics (University of Washington) BA: Physics (New College of Florida) I estimate that I have spent about 1000 hours tutoring students one-on-one. I was a teaching assistant for calculus and physics at New College of Florida. I was a teaching assistant at UW for the intro physics series and a lab and upper-level undergraduate electricity and magnetism.
