Angela is an excellent coach, who shows involvement in her clients' needs. Although I contacted her for personal training, she saw that I needed some life coaching too. In addition, I profited from her great knowledge of nutrition. Her coaching was very helpful for my various needs.Oct 11, 2013Verified
I liked to apologize for taking all these years to get back in touch with you. I never did any life coaching but at the time I knew you would be able probably with a lot of work be able to help me work on myself so I could get to where I needed to be. The reason I went MIA had nothing to do with you. My husband got home from work one evening and informed me that he had just been promoted and we were moving to Denver. So within 2 weeks our house was on the market and we were heading West to the Rocky Mountains. All in all I handled it quite well and happy to say I love it here, in fact the whole family is very happy here. So again I apologize for not getting back to you and thank you. Even though we never met I have always felt I have this little driving force behind me and I like to think it’s you.l do. we packed up am no I have a granddaughter now and I left her my piano she’ll be 5 next April. I don’t know when like them to begin so just let me know and and I’ll contact you when you give us the green light. Thank you again so much.Jul 29, 2018Verified
Work-life Balance Coaching
I'm still working with Angela and it has been transformative. To work in a coaching relationship one has to be willing to be pushed and step out of their comfort zone, so it's been both challenging and rewarding. My life today embodies so much more of what I want my life to look like than when I started working with her. My work, play, health, and relationships are improving and I have found a balance in a way I only dreamed possible. I keep growing, and there is more work to do, but that's the journey of life to constantly have room for improvement and growth. So if you're willing to reach your goal and step out of your comfort zone Angela will get you there.Mar 20, 2017Verified
Angela has helped me change habits/create a new norm to help me facilitate a healthier lifestyle and help me get down to a healthy weight. We have been working together for 3 months, and what I have achieved thus far I could not have done without her email, text, and most importantly in-person coaching. Angela helps me look at the negative and positive motivation behind my actions so that I can increasingly, intentionally live the life I choose. If you are in need of attracting and utilizing a healthier path, Angela will be instrumental in your journey.Nov 15, 2014Verified
Originally, I began working with Angela as my Personal Trainer. She encouraged me to stay focused on my goals and kept me interested in the workouts, but mostly she made me feel supported. And we had WAY to much fun together, which always made the sessions go by quickly. Eventually we began incorporating in Life Coaching. I felt so comfortable discussing my life with her. She pushed me to discover more about what I wanted in life while also being patient, giving me the time and space when I needed it. She is truly amazing!!Sep 13, 2013
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?It is extremely important to do continuing education no matter what field one chooses. For me, I've always been naturally attracted to self-improvement and growth so I'm always reading and researching. I also make sure I'm staying on track by talking to my coaching colleagues and trading methods, ideas, and coaching sessions with them (yes Coaches are Clients too!).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?As a Personal Trainer I realized my most successful Clients were ones that were willing to talk about their resistance to staying on track, obstacles and successes. Those were the Clients I connected with the most and since I had been trained as a Bodybuilder to approach exercise from a more spiritual perspective, it was natural for me to help these Clients discover what was holding them back from achieving their weight loss goals. From there, I was able to apply what I was learning to other parts of my life and it was actually my nieces and nephews that encouraged me to become a Life Coach!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask the Coach if they have formal training and where. Ask if they attended their training in person or if it was all online (experiential training is quite different than online training). Find out the length of their training and make sure it was from a well-known school that has been in the business for a number of years. Sometimes people call themselves Coaches but actually have no training at all. There are also Therapists that call themselves Coaches, and have had no coach training; since coaching is different from therapy, my feeling is a Therapist should take some coach training as well. While I absolutely believe that life experiences add greatly to a Coach's abilities, it's my personal belief that all Coaches should have some type of coach training; whether that is through schooling or mentoring with another Coach, training helps a Coach understand the difference between being someone people turn to for advice, and being a Coach that helps someone find what truly motivates and inspires them to discover and create paths for themselves they didn't realize were there.
