Entirely professional, and even within a few sessions I was able to accomplish piano feats that I didn't think I would be able to.

Caitlin has been phenomenal! She is so incredibly patient with our 5yo and has done a great job teaching him the basics of the ukelele, considering how young he is and how "energetic". Mason adores her and is not getting more into the basics of music theory as well, as he continues to work with her.

About this pro

I have ten years of experience as a tutor and have helped my students achieve gains of 200 points on the new SAT, 4 points on the ACT, and one letter grade in their classes, on average. Between my results-obsessed test preparation, my superlative essay-editing services, and my success working with high-caliber students, I've helped kids get into Berkeley, Yale, and everywhere in between. To find out how you can get there, visit collegeprep.LA/why-me, or read testimonials at collegeprep.LA/testimonials. I’ve taught the sons and daughters of Fortune 500 VPs, State Supreme Court Justices, tech entrepreneurs, and more. You too? I teach to make learning more worthwhile and more fun for my students. I tutor to relieve anxiety and frustration and stress. I tutor to help my students spend less time on homework, and more time on the things they love to do. I promote a relaxing and comfortable environment. I encourage my students to ask questions about the material and their interests. I cultivate a disposition for curiosity. Working with me, students feel like themselves, can put each difficulty in the right context, and focus on solving it. I love helping people avoid the mistakes I made so they can go on to different and new and exciting ones of their own. I love meeting the people I meet through working. I love learning from my students. I love discovering the beautiful connections between all the disciplines I teach, and helping my students do the same.

    Q & A

    • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll spend the first lesson finding out where you are, asking you where you want to be, and working with you to figure out how we can get there together. After that, I can work out an individualized lesson plan tailored to your learning style, goals, preferences, and everything else that makes you you. I consider the quality of my teaching to be the most important part of my brand, and in that vein, I constantly respond to the student, working to shore up deficiencies and magnify strengths.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have ten years of experience tutoring. I continuously review the latest trends in test prep and education and keep in contact with other industry leaders.
    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
I thought Los Angeles was a massive market for tutoring that I could serve better than existing individuals and institutions.
