Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a classically trained violist who has trained and performed all throughout the United States, UK and Europe. I have been teaching violin, viola, and piano lessons to students of all ages for over nine years. My approach to teaching is very personalized to each student as I understand that not every student learns the same way, nor do they have the same goals and interests. I am also a composer and songwriter and love to work on both of these with students who have an interest in getting creative with their music. I received my Bachelor of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, my Master of Music from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and recently moved back the US after living and working as a freelancing musician in Berlin, Germany.

Elizabeth is a great piano and violin teacher. The quality of her work is very high. She is very professional. Lessons always start on time and she is very reliable. Our daughter enjoys the lessons with Elizabeth and made great progress on piano and violin.

I (32M) have been taking violin lessons with Elizabeth since September 2018, and no regrets! The communication between us has been super, I started from no music knowledge, and Elizabeth was very thoughtful and comprehensive with that level in adults. With every lesson there are learnings, how to improve my practice and always getting lesson notes to work on. I have had in person lessons for the first two years, and we have adopted online lessons which are equally reliable. Elizabeth has bunch of energy, motivation, and humorous lessons, that definitely add up to create a great learning environment.

At the age of 6 years I started having lessons with Elizabeth and we continued until the age of 9. She is funny and consequent. She helped me learning difficult pieces and I had a lot of fun with her.

Elizabeth took me on as a first-time adult violin student. She is a fantastic teacher: patient, experienced and thoughtful. She tailored lessons to my interests and encouraged me to explore different types of music. Would highly recommend!

If it weren't for Elizabeth I would not have made it as an adult violin student. Her patient and cheerful approach, adaptability and outstanding level of professional skill made it all possible.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My lessons cost $40 for a half hour session, $60 for a forty-five minute session, and $70 for an hour. The initial "trial" lesson is half-price.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We always begin with a trial lesson (half-price) to see if the student and I are a good fit. Before the trial lesson, I will ask the parent (or student, if the student is an adult) to tell me a bit about the student, their musical experience, and their musical goals/interests.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my Bachelor of Music from London Conservatory of Music and Dance and my Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
