I have been a wedding officiant for about 25 years, and in that time have married some 50 or more couples. Straight and gay couples alike - and now that gay marriage is legal, all are TRULY alike. At last!
I believe that the ceremony is the most important part of your wedding. It is when everything else stops - all the worries about the dress, the flowers, the families and friends, the cake - and you are just looking at each other, and remembering why it is that you are committing to each other. If you need someone truly gifted in delivering a lovely and memorable ceremony - and someone who can make you laugh when you need to - then I am your officiant.
I am not religious, and largely do non-religious ceremonies, but will happily talk to you about what kind of religious ceremony you would like, should that be what you are looking for. I was ordained / licensed through the Universal Life Church, which is non-denominational.
My fees depend on what you need, whether it be a full ceremony with rehearsal, or just vows and signing papers. But in all cases, I will consult with you as much as you need, fill out and mail in your paperwork, and be reasonable in my rates.
I am - of course - happy to help you write your ceremony or vows.
I am qualified to marry you legally- with reverence, humor...and panache, if you wish it.
I will bring gravitas, poignancy...and I will make you laugh.

Prior to our wedding, my fiancé (now wife) and I were simply looking for someone to officiate our wedding on Memorial Day. I had no idea what to expect from an online search, but Imogen was amazing!
With family that lives out of state and country, my wife and I were completely lost trying to figure out what needed to be done. Imogen was incredibly helpful, and relieved a lot of our worries. When the day came, she brought grace, style, and a good dose of humor to our tiny gathering.
I would absolutely recommend Imogen to anyone who is thinking about marriage.

Imogen was not just our officiant for our wedding. She was like a family member that made us feel comfortable and at ease. Imogen is amazing!
I can not recommend her enough. Not only did she put together a beautiful service, she helped us with the entire ceremony planning process.
She is extremely creative and flexible. She was able to seemlessly incorporate special cultural traditions that we wanted to add to the service without making it seem clunky. It all ran very smoothly!
Finally, she helped us relax up there. Both my Wife and I are fairly shy people and were a little nervous with the whole thing. Imogen's calming energy and light hearted approach really helped us breath and be present during the service.
My guests are still commenting on how amazing and beautiful the ceremony was!

Imogen was wonderful to work with. Though we got connected only a few days before the ceremony, she made sure to find time for us to go over the details and make sure that we are all on the same page. I could always reach her by phone or e-mail. Imogen gave us a few examples of the vows and ceremonies which was very helpful. We ended up choosing a different version of the ceremony, but Imogen did not hesitate to do something new. At the wedding day, Imogen was there on time and with a very positive and nice attitude. She was very patient with us and our small plan changes. She made sure that all the paperwork was done and that we feel good about everything before she left. We had a wonderful experience and if we had to do it again, we would definitely work with Imogen!!!

I can't say enough about Imogen. She did such a fantastic job. I wanted a simple ceremony that wasn't too stiff or formal and she delivered it perfectly. Her warmness and sense of humor was contagious and created such a comfortable and relaxed vibe. She explained the process and always was quick to answer my questions. Highly, highly recommend using her for your wedding!
