FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
House sitting: $85/per night; includes dog/cat care for up to two animals. Travel charge: $0.75/mile outside of a 40 mile radius from downtown Spokane. Additional Pets: Additional charges may apply for pets/animals such as horses, chickens, or rabbits, or animals with special medical needs. Price is based on animal and need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a phone call. If it sounds like we're a good match, I will set up a time to visit the home and meet the pets and get a tour of the property. This initial site visit is free of charge, but I do ask that clients outside a 50 mile radius of downtown Spokane provide trip coverage of $20. This is not required, but appreciated. If we are a good match, I'll plan to take care of your house sitting needs! If you would also like a list of my references, I am happy to provide those during our initial phone call.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started house sitting during college when I was home for summer breaks. I spent one of those summers house sitting for three consecutive months while the homeowners were in England. I got to know their pup, Riley very well. While I was staying here, I managed the garden and provided lawn care. I cared for the home as if it were my own.
