- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been good at fixing things around the house so when times got rough I made money on the side by doing odd jobs for my friends and family. My hardwork quickly paid off and word of mouth about me spread, then I began to pick up all kinds of work from people in my neighborhood. I mainly did painting, drywall, groundskeeping, moving furniture and other small jobs for customers and business owners up until the time I entered college in 2004. After staying in college for 3 years taking up Human Services & Computer Technology, I left school to pursue other options. I was tired of the early morning classes and the fact that I couldn't work full-time while taking 16 credits and earn enough money to support my family. So I left school in 2007 and went back to work but then the recession hit and I got laid off in 2009 so I decided to just go into business for myself.
