We hired Jamie to paint our ceilings and all the woodwork in the house. We specifically indicated the trim around doors, baseboards, and doors needed to be sanded, primed and sprayed. He also painted a small stairwell. His bid was not the best but he was available and the other two bids would have been a long wait. We paid him $1,900 and I bought the paint.
We hired him back in April and we are STILL cleaning up overspray, halfway painted railing that had to be removed and redone, and filing holes in trim and touching up. What a huge disappointment and mess. I have MANY pictures I could post so you could see for yourself.
He and his helper worked long days. The night they finished they were here until 11:00pm.
I notified Jamie right away that we had a problem and asked him how he was going to make us whole. We did set one time for him to come during the work day and I had to reschedule. He said no problem he was busy too and he would come the next week. He never did come back and when I asked him how long I should wait? He said I cancelled so not his problem. I asked him if I should send him a bill for all the damage and he said it was not his problem. He Ruined a bedroom chandelier, two lenoleum bathroom floors and the thresholds, over sprayed my brand new fridge, completely trashed the handrail with drips and runs, and everywhere he leaned doors against walls we had to sand off satin enamel and retexture just to paint our walls. What a mess!
