Introduction: In a world with so many varying definitions of health and what it means to be fit, I strive to provide a holistic approach to the integration of our bodies, mind, and soul.
It is my life goal to help people reclaim their movement.
Hello, my name is Sarah Park and I am a yoga, tai chi, qigong, and self-acupressure instructor.
My focus is rehabilitation. Hatha, Yin, and Iyengar flows, and include mat-fitness modalities that have been formed through over 18 years of experience in figure skating and ballet, in addition to 8 years of coaching experience in figure skating and roller skating.
I believe in individualized yoga sequences, not solely for difficulty levels, but catered towards body types. This is a controversial topic, and it is not intended to shame or put anyone down. It's believed that each person has a unique constitution, and generally fall under one of three main dosha types — vata, kapha, and pitta — based on their body type, personality, and sensitivities. The needs and means of achieving them are different for each type, therefore, each would have different modifications of asanas, and different flow sequences. I have seen and felt first hand, the restorative effects of yoga, prayanama, and other practices of getting to know the body better. My specialties are tai-chi inclusive, spinal mobilization, teaching about how to be aware of facilitated pathways of energy, rehabilitating posture to alleviate specific chronic pains or aches, and strengthening and uses elements of tai chi, breath work, vinyasa flow.
I would also love for any restaurants in need of murals or interior art to reach out.
