FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We may offer you a fixed price bid, which is pretty self explanatory, or a cost plus bid. A cost plus bid is an arrangement where you will be charged the actual cost of a home plus a builder fee. With these contracts, we provide a line item accounting of every project facet, including anything from materials to labor to insurance. Instead of paying an agreed-upon price, you will be billed for the actual cost of the construction. Cost plus contracts are something we use on projects with various unknowns and hidden conditions. They are also good for complex houses, remodels and home owners who are more interested in getting exactly what they want rather than adhering to a strict budget.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
from trailer parks to 16,000 sq ft homes, I have worked with all types of people. Most of my experience is in high end custom home construction and renovations, so I am used to a discerning customer with high expectations.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The Wheelhouse Taproom Rocco Construction remodeled much of the space for the Wheelhouse Taproom, they occupy a building that was once an Izzy’s pizza in Vancouver WA. We updated the bathrooms with new tile, paint, countertops (custom made by Erin!) and new stalls. We manufactured and installed trim throughout the building and added corrugated metal on the walls for an industrial modern look. We also refinished tables and chairs giving them a whole new life at The Wheelhouse. In the kitchen we installed FRP (fiberglass reinforced panels) in the dish pit and helped refinish the floors with epoxy for a durable and clean look.
