I profess lessons for guitar as a classical instrument. If interested, we will approach through technique and etudes while applying them to repertoire. This approach helps the player develop the skills that it takes to play with virtuosic ease, avoiding tension in the hand.
I teach students of all ages and levels of progress. A large part of playing guitar is to expose yourself to the community and to other guitarists through chamber music. If you wish to explore these areas of music, I can help you succeed.
I, Francisco Armenta, have studied at SFCM and PSU, and am currently studying in my undergraduate. I've taught at OCHSA, a famous high school of the arts, and I've also held many private students.
Some of the materials you will need:
- A classical guitar (nylon strings)
- Pumping Nylon by Scott Tennant
- A foot stool or an A-Frame of some sort
- Files to shape the nails
- A metronome/tuner
