FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Services depend on the involvement of the job and how long it takes. Factors usually depend on how long it's been since the pets last groom. Degree and severity of matting if any, degree and severity of shedding/loose coat, size of pet, degree of scissor work, and if pet is difficult wiggly or aggressive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I appreciate an initial phone call, text or in salon consultation to better get to know you and your pet. I also use this time to find out exactly your concerns are and exactly what services you are looking for so that I can better serve you and your pets needs. We can also use this time to book an appointment time that works for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional groomer I've been grooming for 20 years. A little back story, I began as a veterinary technician after receiving my certification in 2003. I attended a four year university to get my Bachelor in Biology degree with a concentration in animal form and function and physiology and zoology with Chem minor. My prerequisites for veterinary school. However after my internships and volunteer with several including emergency veterinary hospitals I opted out of veterinary school and learned to groom, as I was already a bather/brusher working to pay my way through school. I hold several certificates in grooming and attend conferences and continuing grooming education each year.
