FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We proudly use flat rate pricing using the "Appliance Repair Blue Book" as a guide. In the event we need to order parts to finish your job we never charge a return trip charge. There are literally hundreds of thousands of parts used in this business. No company can stock every part. Even parts warehouses do not stock every part. If we need to make a return trip while we wait for parts to arrive you will not pay anymore than what we would charge if we had completed the job on the first trip.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Because manufacturers are always introducing "NEW and IMPROVED" products and features it is important to attend many training sessions each year. I will personally attend at least 10 trainings this year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After spending 24 years in the houseboat rental industry I felt it was time for a change. I sold the business. I have a keen interest in learning how things work and I am always taking things apart to see what is happening on the inside. In the houseboat business I troubleshot everything from appliances to gensets, drive systems, motors, navigation systems, plumbing and more. Because troubleshooting and repairs are exciting to me, I felt the appliance repair business would take advantage of my talents and provide away to continue my constant quest for knowledge.
