She arrived on time and got straight to work. She had estimated about four hours based on the size of my home, but being that it has been a while since we had done a very thorough cleaning due to my health issues, as well as having two teenagers and a dog, it took closer to seven hours. She stayed until the job was complete and did a very nice job. Even though she stayed almost double the time, she didn't ask for more money, though we insisted on paying her more. She absolutely deserved it. There were a couple surfaces that she missed dusting, but everything was scrubbed and cleaned very well. We liked her so much, we will definitely have her back again. Likely every two to three weeks going forward so she can concentrate on some other tasks like helping to organize closets, etc. She was also wonderful with our dog and does do pet sitting. She seems very trustworthy as well. All in all, I would give her an 'A'.

Cassidy does a great job with our Goldendoodle Doug! We have her stop at least twice a week to let Doug out, take him for a walk and play with him. Cassidy has even started to teach Doug some new commands. She communicates well and lets us know when she arrives and leaves. We would recommend Cassidy to anyone that needs a dog walker, pet sitter or just someone to spend some extra time with their dog.

We made plans for a trip and then learned that our cat sitter, a neighbor, would not be available. We came to Thumbtack for help and Susan responded promptly. After talking to her on the phone we felt comfortable and invited her to visit us and our kitty. We became completely comfortable after meeting her and her husband. She took excellent care of our cat while we were away. We will definitely hire her again.

Fantastic pet sitter, was able to create a bond with our VERY picky cat. Always sends us updates at the start and end of the visits. I know our cats are in good hands and that she won't hesitate to contact us if there are questions.

Kimberly was punctual, courteous and professional. She did a great job and got along great with our dog and my almost 4 year old. I definitely plan to use her services again. I was a bit leery on using anyone for cleaning services, but decided to give it a shot. If you are also "on the fence" you should give her a try, you will not be disappointed.

Heather is our pup's favorite friend! We know that we can always count on her for daily visits, as well as help if anything last-minute pops up. As a first time dog owner, I value Heather's opinion and insight on what's best for our pup!

We worked with Sarah for 6 weeks with our dog, Diggie, on his visitor anxiety at our home. She was quick to diagnosis Diggie's issues and came every week ready with strategies and tools to help us. Sarah was always professional and knowledgable, answering all our questions, while still making us feel very comfortable with what we needed to do and providing us with feedback. After the 6 weeks, Diggie has come a long way, mastering basic commands that will help his anxiety and a plan to continue his progress. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who loves their dogs, but not their behaviors.

I used Kay's service twice, after a friend recommended her to me as a good and reliable dog sitter. Kay stayed in my house, so she was not only a dog sitter, but also a house sitter, 2 for the price of 1, so to say. My little stubborn puppy loved Kay. I felt comfortable and happy, because Kay was sending me pictures several times a day and her comments were kind and with sense of humor. You can tell that she loves dogs! I would definitely recommend her services and will call her again when I need.

I've been a fur mom to Ryder for almost 9 years now. For those first 6, I had the luxury of family to love and care for him while I was away. Two years ago, my family moved out of state and I was forced to look elsewhere for my dog sitting needs. It was the most stressful, heart-aching experience I've encountered as I couldn't cope with dropping him off at a kennel or a boarding facility for 2 weeks, or even a day for that matter. He's my baby and I needed someone I could trust. Two years ago, I hit the jackpot and found Pawzz N All and Ive been using them ever since. Pawz N All is an in-home sitter that does not kennel pets unless they are asked to. They watch multiple dogs simultaneously and own a dog themselves so your fur child will always have social hour! Pawzz N All has always been available to me, even last minute which is beyond appreciative. They are close to home for me which makes it very convenient. They provide pictures and updates if asked and will even administer medications if necessary. Pawzz N All truly has a passion and love for all dogs and cares for them like they're their own. They are patient and definitely have eased my anxiety with this process which at one point was new territory for me. I would recommend Pawzz N All 100%, for first timers or anyone looking to reestablish a new sitter!!

Nicole has been helping take care of my two kids (dogs, Zero and Leiloni) for the past two years. She has helped me train them, watch them when I am at work or out of town, even last minute. Nicole has come to the rescue many times when I was in a last minute bind. Well she was working for the Vet Speciality Center she also helped with Leiloni's emergency surgury and physical therapy. There was a 90% + chance my dog could never walk again. Nicole helped save her life. She also came to my home after and helped remove the stiches and work with her to get her back to her playful self. Nicole is very professional and works with animals so well, you can feel her passion and compassion. I trust her in my home but more importantly with the two things in my life that are truely priceless. Thank you Nicole!

Vanessa has helped sit for my dogs when I was out of town for work on several occassions. She is very responsible and trustworthy. I had all faith my dogs were in good hands during my absence. I would recommemd her highly as the BEST! Plus, my dogs were spoiled with LOVE! Much better than boarding with the flexibility and comfort of them staying at home.

I love animals, and I love interacting with them. I love taking long walks, so why not take someone with me. I love all animals. I'm eager to meet you and your pet!

Once a dog lover always a dog lover. Dogs need love and affection just like people do.

I clean homes for very busy individuals who may not have the time to detail clean. I also dog sit; I love animals, and it is my passion to make sure they get the proper care they need.

I watch dogs in my home while people are on vacation there are no kennels, they love staying here I let them sleep on the couch. I stand out because I do not kennel the dogs and my price is very good

We offer "in-our-home" quality pet care. Pets stay in our house and have all the luxuries of their own. We specialize in special needs, geriatric, or dogs who just don't kennel well. Alexandrea worked at the Lakeland Animal Shelter in Delavan, WI for 10 years and is experienced with all breeds of dogs. We are flexible with our rates within reason.

I am a pet sitter and dog walker. I love animals of all kinds. I am currently a college student trying to make some extra cash.

We help you clean and organize and get you spot free. We also clean up after pets or do dog walking and pet sitting, if needed.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

      • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
      • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
        • 45-minute visit: $28.
        • 60-minute visit: $32.
      • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
      • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
        • 12 hours: $100.
        • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
