Home exterior painting. On late notice they were able to accommodate our schedule and very good communication. As far as better - power washed the decks prior to painting but scraping was needed as well. Would concider working with them on future projects.
Superb quality workmanship by a man of integrity. Projects were completed in a timely manner, each to my satisfaction. Daily clean up was thorough. He made cabinet doors, refinished a window, repaired siding, replaced light fixtures, did caulking and more. Easy to work with.
Mr. Cerda built two smaller but sturdy, high quality decks for a reasonable price, was very friendly but respectful and professional and overall finished the job timely.
Finding a good handyman needn't be difficult--just call Craig. He completed quite a variety of work to help me prepare my house for sale, including installing water barrels and new downspouts, removing a satellite and repairing roof, installing fans and light fixtures, hanging a medicine cabinet, grouting, concrete patching, and hanging a new storm door, among other projects. Craig did excellent work, and it is clear that he is a very skilled, trustworthy, and fair handyman. I recommend him so highly--I wish I had found him years earlier.
Dave and Charity of Twisted Willows are an excellent team! The day I contacted them and explained what I wanted, Dave replied with 3 pictures of possibilities. One picture was exactly what I wanted! They listened to all my concerns and brought me into the "Team." Dave created my beautiful Glider Swing without blueprints and Charity added to the beauty from staining and sanding to keeping me posted. The results are exactly like the picture I have had in my mind for the last 5 years. When any problems or adjustments arrived (and there were only a few), Dave and Charity both put themselfs out to rectify them. I could not be happier with the process and the end result! Their creativity, expertise and work ethic is excellent!
This was a design-build project. Ray Habenicht, owner of Habenicht Homes, started with a big empty attic. First, Ray insulated it carefully then framed in the bedroom, closet, and corner storage areas. Then he hung dry-wall and finished the rooms, which had a multitude of difficult, yet charming attic angles. The finished product is delightful and aesthetically pleasing. At this point they primed and painted walls and ceilings. Ray built a tray ceiling with molding and inset lights where a ceiling fan will hang. He built doors to match our 1905 Colonial four-square farmhouse, including smaller versions for the bedroom corner storage areas and one to fit the attic bedroom closet. He trimmed out all the windows and doors, again to match the rest of the home, then added bead board and trim to the walls of the great room area. He built bead board-trimmed doors into the corner storage areas that almost disappear into the rest of the bead board/trim. I say almost, but hasten to say that I'm glad they are a little noticeable, they are so very pleasant. He built-in a special reading nook, with the bookcase modeled after a painting by Swedish painter, Carl Larsen. The south end of the great room includes two built-in desks with drawers (for our homeschooling children to share), two clever bookcases with cubby holes below for baskets, and a large beautiful window seat that opens for storage. Ray was good at re-purposing left-over materials to cut costs. For instance, he suggested using the (beautiful) flooring to top the window-seat and cap off the half-walls. He built-in another desk for a home office as well as a DVD-player cabinet with storage into the half-wall . Ray transformed an unfinished attic into a show-room piece with many personal touches. The craftmanship is amazing. Ray is more than a carpenter, he is a designer, and, really, an artist. Taking our dreams and making them reality. Truly, our attic is not only functional and efficient, it has our personality written all over it. As people come upstairs for the first time they take a deep breath and breathe out, "Wow!"
James installed glass block windows in our basement. They look great, and he worked very hard to get everything cleaned up when he was finished. I will be having him complete some more work around the house, as well as recommend him to my friends and family.
We have been very pleased with Schroeder Carpentry Inc. and the whole building process. It all started with the initial meeting where we shared what we were looking for. Paul indicated that he would get the original plans to our home to help understand the structure and the design. He took the time to keep us informed of every step of the process, giving us an idea of what to expect at any given point throughout the process. He even made special stops at our house to check on progress and answer our questions. The crew of workers were always very polite and willing to answer any questions that we might have about the process. They always cleaned up after themselves. Paul was also great about working within our budget. If you are in the area and would like to take a look at his work, Please feel free to contact Paul for our contact information.
We have worked with John on several remodeling projects: adding a four season sunroom with custom book cases and fireplace mantel, laundry room, bathroom, garage extension, patio, driveway, sidewalk (4 months) and complete bathroom demo/ remodel and finished basement (6 weeks). John and his crew are dependable, hard-working and thorough. The quality of the work is superior, blending perfectly with the existing structure of our home. Work cleanup and attention to detail were excellent. Brin Koeper's design talents were indispensable. As disruptive as remodeling projects can be, John's organization, knowledge and experience and thorough explanations made the whole process enjoyable.
Chris came and fixed our front door at a commercial location. He was very helpful and got the job done. Very professional, and got the job done in a timely manor. He even showed me exactly what he did and told me the exact problems and how to adjust certain things. I would most certainly hire him again! Very happy and pleased! :)
Scott has done some cabinet doors for us, some shelving, and a beautiful dining room table and he has done an outstanding job. Would absolutely recommend hiring him for your next job!
Very professional did exactly what he said he was going to do. Was done for a reasonable price and in a reasonable amount of time I would definitely use him again!
Playhouse, porch, cabinet, all went extremely well and would make changes we wanted on the fly without complaints
JG built a new vanity and window seat drawers for my master bathroom in 2011. Because of the unique space the vanity and window seat were going in, custom was the only option for us. After using it every day for a few years we can see how good the quality is. The price was also very fair; John did a great job staying within our budget. Because JG does cabinets, countertops, hardware and sinks we were able to pick out just about everything in their showroom and didnt have to run around town to find different things. The installers were very timely and clean and had their shoes covered when they came in the house. When they were finished, they wiped down and vacuumed the room. The fact that everything was built locally was a bonus, too. We got to peek in the shop to see our stuff being made. The staff that helped us in the showroom were very friendly and down to earth. We plan on doing our kitchen with JG in the future.
