Our movers are fully insured and licensed. We have trained moving specialists. There is no hidden fees for disassembly/assembly of items (beds, etc.). We do not charge for steps or mileage and we provide stretch wrap and paded furniture blankets at no charge.

The two movers, I believe Brandon and Justin, worked hard from start to finish. At start we did a walk through and they made sure they knew exactly what was needed to be done. Would highly recommend them. Well worth the money. Especially to a guy with a lot of back problems who didn't want to bug family and friends.

I was skeptical to hire a mover in the first place but Dan met with me at home to go over the process and take a look at what all we had and how to protect it in the move. The guys did a great job, were quick and helpful and didn't damage anything worthwhile. (Our cheap grill cover ripped again, a result of securing it for travel) I would recommend Dan's moving van for my friends move.

The two men sent to do our move were very professional and very efficient. They got right to the job and stuck to it til done. They were considerate and careful of my furnishings. I would definitely recommend Dan's Movers again. In fact, I gave their name to a realtor who said they are always looking for good mover S to recommend to their clients. Thank you!

Two workers moved a 3 bedroom house for us about 95 miles. It was a very cold day and the workers worked quickly and completed the job in the timeframe that was estimated. When unpacking, we found several broken items in boxes that were well-packed, which indicated that they were not as careful as they could have been. The workers were courteous, although they did make quite a mess on the carpets, tracking in a lot of snow and dirt.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Providing moving services typically has a very wide range of jobs that we are hired for. We do have a base rate that varies depending on how many movers are needed for each job. To get your free quote with a specific break down of our pricing check out dansmoving.com or give us a call.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially we will ask if the customer would like an in house estimate or we will go over their household items on the phone to put together an itemized inventory listing. We will then create a quote for the customer and get back to them immediately generally within one day. The next step is to work with the customer and book a date that best fits their schedule.If any questions or concerns arise before their moving date they are always free to give us a call at any time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Nick Gauthier owner of Dan's Moving Van went to Northern Michigan University and graduated in May of 2015 with a degree in Entrepreneurship. College taught me valuable lessons such as how to treat customers with the uttermost respect and care. School was something that guided our company throughout the last four years and has added valuable marketing ideas that helped grow the company. I am currently pursuing my masters in business "MBA" at Northern Michigan University to continue my education and connect with our customers while networking Dan's Moving Van with our surrounding communities.
