What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because I offer several different services I can not chare one basic hourly fee or one flat rate. So what I do is charge by the hour for what service I provide if it is only needing to be done short term, or I can offer a discounted rate to my clients if they agree to enter into a long term service agreement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I make it a habbit to subscribe to magazines that are geared towards my services that I offer as well as research the internet regularly, and looking into joining different trade organizations soon.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
The reason I got into my line of work is due to being unemployed at one point and time for almost 3 years, and being dead broke and no means to support myself due to being unable to claim unemployemnt benefits, and due to the poor economy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I get contacted mostly for lawn cutting, landscaping, gardening, and snow removal, house and pet sitting. But do not let this intimidate you as all services I provide I have done in the past as work, and for those that I have not, they are just common sense things and are done with professionalism.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advices is that you will not find another provider like me who offers as many services as I do, to get all of the services that I offer you would have to hire at least 4 to 6 different service providers to preform all of the services that my company offers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
When it comes to gardening and wether it is dealing with a flower or vegetable garden it is easier then most people think, and is not all that time comsuming if simple steps are followed.
