Tim works very well with my teenaged son. He is very professional and seems to care deeply about teaching music. I would highly recommend Tim to teach your kids how to play the guitar.
Although playing well and being able to read music all help to make a good teacher, it takes more than those basic skills for one to be a great teacher. Mr, Jim Kube is a caring and kind person who demonstrates the type of interpersonal qualities found in only few people - and he communicates in ways which assist to establish meaningful relationships and results (can one truly happen without the other?). There are many places to take drum lessons - though there is only one Mr. Jim. If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance of Mr. Jim consider yourself a very lucky student, indeed. I give hime “5 Stars” (out of 5). :) Happy drumming, Ed Francis Artistic Director, Rhythm Workshops Master Drum Coach, Round Rock Drums
If you are looking for a fun instructor that has a laid back personality and is extremely intelligent, then you can stop your search here. Matt, of Cedarburg Music, is exactly that! I cannot believe how much new information I learned in such a short time frame. Matt is good at explaining things and is also good at helping you see things from a different perspective, even if you thought you already had a good grasp on the topic! All in all, I would highly recommend Cedarburg Music for any guitar or drum needs!
He was a great instructor every thing was easy to understand and went at the pace I needed so I could understand what I was doing and still have fun with it.
I have been playing drums and percussion for 12 years now and am very experienced reading and improvising. I have also been playing guitar for over 15 years now, and I have given lessons in the past.
I get excited every time I can help inspire someone new to play the drums .
I am looking for young or elderly beginner drummers. I have experience in a multitude of percussion instruments, and I incorporate this into my drum-set teaching.
WE offer drum lessons and drum exercises designed for all levels of ability from first time beginners to Pros and Instructors. "First learn to think like a drummer, then you can play what you think!" I have been playing drums for over 40 years, starting with 9 years of private lessons myself. I have been teaching drums for over 30 years, and I can see a drummer's weakness and strengths in just a matter of seconds. Always work to eliminate weaknesses and showcase your strengths! Lessons are customized for each student as each of us is different with unique desires and musical tastes. I always recommend video taping your playing and review the video. This allows us to replay our drum play in our mind, while deciding what needs work, what sounds great, and what can be discarded as "not for me". This is the best way to learn fast and develop our own personal style. What other students have to say: "This is what I've been looking for thanks! I have nothing against some of the guy's who are drumming on here, but I want to learn more than what their demonstrating! I'm considering either a, Roland e drum kit or Yamaha which would you suggest for a novice? Great drumming by the way!" (deepbreakfast1960) "Man, kuddos to you! I just saw all parts of 20min workout and found it very inspiring. Thanks." (hujjer) "i like. Your pretty inspirational, I never considered getting an electronic kit before (i got an acoustic), but after a friend got one, playing on one at school and hearing many great artists such as yourself im now looking into it!" "thx helped alot" (callofdutygod1234567) "great. thanks" (georgewatts94) "You are the first person to actually teach something I can understand I can't stop practicing your work outs." (chinguidinsky)
I run a drum-lesson business that caters to the learning needs of each individual I work with. I choose the name Drum Geek Drum Lessons, because I don't just teach notes. I like to also dive in to the history of drumming and music. I feel this provides a better understanding of the notes that will also be taught.
My name is Marty Morgan. I've been playing percussion for 13 years. I have a degree from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. I currently teach privately at Outpost Music in Waukesha, WI and at the YMCA in Janesville, WI. I have over 25 students ages 6-45. I co-direct a summer Rock Band program for young kids. I also have my own summer group percussion class for ages 4-10.
Learn how to play Djembe and Dunun drums! I teach traditional West African music of the Republic of Guinea. I offer artist-in-residence and teaching programs at schools/universities and artist/community centers. Private classes are also available. I have studied the music by going to Guinea annually over the past 11 years. I have toured North America with an artist from Guinea. I also sell fair-trade drums and items from Guinea, giving 100% back to the artists.
We teach Pop Vocals, Guitar, Bass Drumset, Piano and Rock Keyboards. We teach out of method books that you can only get at Todd Greene Music Studios.
