My foundation wall was buckling into my house. Dan and Nick dug out to expose the exterior foundation and leveled and straightened the foundation back. Tuck-pointed interior and exterior joints and back filled the hole leaving the foundation back in the original condition. They were prompt, efficient, friendly and got the job done to my expectations. I would recommend them without reservation.
Great job! Our crown molding looks wonderful. It definitely finishes the room!
Moved into our house about a year ago and have had hired many to help with projects in our home. Walt is by far the best we have hired. I wish I found him sooner. He did crown molding, chair rails, bead board, wainscoting, trim/casing around all of our windows including a massive foyer window & trimmed out all the entryways. Such a pleasant person, beyond fair pricing, great to work ( gave us suggestions and options with trim) and just an all around great job! Super hard worker, extremely clean and all of this was completed in about 3 1/2 days! My husband and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely be calling him again and have given his name to a friend of mine already. Awesome Job! Thanks so much Walt, our house looks incredible!
Jeff was fantastic! He installed two cabinets with crown molding in our laundry room. Jeff showed up on time and was extremely efficient. Jeff has great attention to detail and went above and beyond with the finishing touches, including cleaning up after the job was done. I would not hesitate to hire Jeff again! Thank you!
They were willing to tackle an unusual, yet, minor job, without trying to up-sell or embellish the issue. I had tried to find a handyman for months, G. Bros. estimated and completed the job within a couple of weeks.
Wehab was hired through thumbtack to do crown molding on my cabinets and basetrim around the bottom. Crown molding is not an easy job. At first I was a little concerned that they didnt have many reviews on thumbtack yet. After working with them, its clear they have years of experience and do great work. Liz/Wehab had GREAT communication prior to setting up the day and time for work. Showed up the day of on time. Took her time and did GREAT work. She also cleaned up after herself. Another cool aspect of her work is that she didnt complain when she ran into problems. She spent more time than she planned on making sure it was right and didnt complain or charge us extra. We are very happy and will hire Wehab again!! Thanks!!
Erich is great. He built us amazing, custom built in cabinets in our dining room. Excellent quality, attention to detail, and price. He's easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.
Bill did a job for our banquet hall-installing new moldings for a large dance floor. He did a great job, finished the project on time for the estimated price and was overall very professional. Outstanding job!
I hired Lyndell to install a shower surround kit in my master bathroom and ended up hiring him to do so much more! He was able to repair some pesky woodpecker damage on my chimney chase. He noticed some loose cedar siding and repaired that as well. The chimney looks great and is better than the original construction. He came in under budget and was very thorough with his work. Couldn't be happier. The shower kit and door kit installation went just a smoothly. Lyndell performed a very "clean demolition, made some structural repairs and installed the shower kit with a high level of craftsmanship and care for my home. The shower surround also came in under budget and looks (and works) great! I'm very pleased with the work he performed at my house. Side note: take the time to get to know Lyndell...he is capable of more than you think. His background is amazing and his work ethic is refreshing. I'm planning on hiring Lyndell for future projects at my new home.
Painting Highly recommend Steamatic for painting and repair services. Own a wood shingle and stone two story house in need of routine painting. Steamatic offered me the lowest price. They started the job in about two weeks which was great because it gave me time to decide on what color paint for the siding and trim and buy it myself. Took them about a week to finish the house and by the time the weekend came around, had the house looking like new! Called Bo that Sunday to see if his crew could fix some roof shingles an re-attach a gutter with new clips. They came out later that week, finished the repairs in about two hours and actually painted my mailbox at no additional cost to match the house. Really suggest you give these guys a call. Nice people , hard working and know their stuff. Jerome W
Jason and I have been working together for many years. I have contracted for countlessss finishing projects from straight painting and staining to very decorative and custom effects. It always looks great in the end and he ALWAYS provides a quick and efficient remedy if issues arise. I appreciate the fact that Jason can take care of drywall and carpentry as well. It's one call to make - I am a bit spoiled!
Chris is a very talented artist and exceptional handyman. We had him work on a front entry project. From helping us with the overall concept; to removing our existing materials; to patching drywall, custom painting, installing a new light fixture, etc...the project turned out perfect. Chris is very professional, timely, and detail-oriented.
The job has not been completed, but I can say that the experience using thumbtack was excellent. Very easy and convenient to use.
Bill did a great job tiling our kitchen floor with ceramic tile. He's quick, talented, and does not overcharge you. I highly recommend him.
Working with Steve was an amazing, POSITIVE contrast to previous contractors we've had in the house. We gave him a "test drive," by asking him to install a couple of windows. When we experienced his workmanship and dependability, we then contracted him to patch up the drywall and install the kitchen cabinets we had already ordered from another company. Dependable: Steve came when he said he would---or called when he was running late. He also went above and beyond what was "required" of him to do his job. We didn't have a car big enough to bring one of our windows home, so Steve picked it up for us, and brought it home! Quality of workmanship: His work was outstanding. Steve paid attention to big AND small details (leveling each of the cabinet doors!); carefully followed--or improved upon--the cabinet plans; touched up the paint that was scuffed when cabinets were installed; and cleaned up after himself every day. With the drywall, he took the time to go over it two or three times, until the new part was seamless with the old. With the window trim, he made a custom stain that beautifully coordinates the window trim to the cabinets, and gave me extra for our future use. Knowledgeable: He knows the code, and chooses to go beyond the minimum. He moved one of our windows, and told us the minimum header was eight inches. He chose to put in an ten inch header. When the rough work was done by the other contractors (plumber and electrician), he pointed out a couple of things that weren't up to code, and said we should be sure these details were done before the rough inspection. He helped me save thousands of dollars by walking me through how to be my own general contractor---at no cost to us. From time to time, Steve would even call me to see how things were progressing, and let me know the "next step," to keep things moving. He pointed out ways he could have saved me money on the cabinets, if I had ordered through him. We're hoping to do an addition on the house in a couple of years. When we do, we'll be calling this guy again. Thanks, Steve, for your outstanding workmanship! I LOVE our kitchen! :)
Frank completely gutted and remodeled my bathroom. His outside the box thinking created more storage space while giving me a little more walk room as well. His craftsmanship with tile work is amazing and included a custom tile counter. Top notch craftsmanship while keeping cost as economical as possible. Friends who knew what it looked like before are amazed at the transformation!
Joe came to our house the week of...(before) the Fourth of July to lay laminate (wood plank) flooring. Initially, he thought it would take 2 nights, but it ended up being 2 nights and one more day trip...which was fine with us. He was MORE than committed to the job and completing it. He was devoted to doing a good job and making sure we were happy. All in all, we are more than happy with him and his work. We would HIGHLY reccomend him!-for any job, big or small. We would definitely hire him again.
Bill is reliable, detailed, and informed about many aspects of home repairs and construction. He is extremely patient and neat and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him from smaller to larger repairs and renovations.
