FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, my approach is centered on clear communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality, tailored result. I begin by listening carefully to the client’s goals, preferences, and any specific requirements they may have—whether it’s for their home or a commercial space. Every space is different, and I take the time to understand the unique layout, lighting, wall material, and aesthetic style before making any recommendations. Once I have a full understanding of the vision and any logistical considerations, I draw on my years of experience and design sense to offer thoughtful guidance on placement, height, spacing, and alignment. My goal is always to enhance the space in a way that feels balanced, intentional, and visually impactful. Whether the project involves a single piece or a full gallery wall, I approach each installation with precision and care, ensuring everything is secure, level, and beautifully presented. I strive to make the process smooth, collaborative, and enjoyable from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve worked in and around the art world for most of my life. I hold a degree in Fine Arts and have been a practicing visual artist for many years, which has given me a strong foundation in composition and aesthetics. My professional experience includes working in both large and small galleries in Chicago and other markets, giving me valuable insight into curatorial standards and display practices. I also have hands-on experience with designing custom framing, which deepened my understanding of presentation and preservation. I'v even had the fulfilling experience with working with children as an art teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. Over the years, I’ve visited galleries and museums across the U.S. and abroad, continuously learning from the ways art is installed and experienced. I have over 10 years experience professionally installing art and other items, applying both my artistic eye and technical skills to ensure every piece is placed with care, precision, and intention.
