- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Make Up Artistry Program at The Institute of Beauty and Wellness Aveda- Milwaukee. Certified at Airbrush Academy of Chicago. Internationally Certified at Glam Lab Studio Academy in Chicago.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Passion and fun. I'm obsessed with makeup and how even the littlest amount can create confidence. I found I was a natural and decided to turn it into a career. Living in the Midwest, it's not easy to find training in Make Up Artistry. A lot of times its just a small part of beautician/estitician programs. I studied specifically make up in all aspects. I've trained in Milwaukee and at the Airbrush Academy of Chicago. I continously seek out ways to learn and add to my experience and skills in order to offer a quality service.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say look for someone who will listen and observe what you are hoping for. A lot of times other aspects come into play, like how comfortable you are with make up. Find someone who helps you feel comfortable with your likes and dislikes. Respect the artists opinion but know you have the final say. You should feel absolutely fabulous before walking away from that chair!
