Introduction: Each person I work with has a unique situation and a unique personality. Some clients require constant movement, others need quiet stillness. I use a mixture of yoga, meditation, and somatic movements to help each individual find what works for what they want to achieve. I provide my clients with documentation of what works so they can confidently practice own their own. I love that people always look forward to seeing me. :)

Melissa was a personal yoga instructor for my husband and me, providing a one-hour, in-home, early morning yoga session once a week for over a year. Melissa's guidance and teaching helped me develop my confidence and skills in yoga from my initial stages as a novice to a place where I now have confidence to practice on my own or to try classes. She was a master at listening to my needs on a particular day and tailoring our practice to address them, integrating just the right amount of comfort and familiarity with skills I'd already learned and introducing new challenges. She struck the perfect tone between fun and meditative practice, careful to read my mood and respond appropriately; she was always attentive to the setting, music, level of exertion, external stresses of a particular day, etc. My yoga time with Melissa was almost invariably my favorite hour of the week. Melissa communicated very clearly about the logistics around this arrangement, was always prompt and prepared, and checked in regularly to make sure she was meeting our expectations. I honestly cannot think of how the situation might have been improved. We had to bring the arrangement to an end because of life changes/schedules, and I very much miss both the regularity and accountability of the practice with an instructor in my home but also the presence of Melissa in our lives. She's caring, uplifting, and fun!

I've hired Melissa for a private yoga session and have attended her group classes. She is attentive to individual needs and gentle in her approach. My organization hired her to do classes outside in the community and she brought amazing creativity to her work.

Melissa went out of her way to regularly visit the company location where I work to teach Yoga to a group over our lunch hour. Most of the participants were new to Yoga. The improved posture, increased flexibility along with the stretching, breathing and relaxing techniques and benefits of Yoga are still with me. I believe it is by far the best possible way to relieve stress and gain a feeling of total overall wellness. Thank you, Melissa.

Melissa conducted several in a series of outdoor yoga classes that we held in a Northfield park. Her classes were relaxing and meditative as well as energizing and challenging. She did a great job of gearing the classes to all experience levels. Melissa was always very dependable and prompt, and she was open to our input as to the content of the classes. I would happily have her teach yoga classes in the future!

Yoga classes at church and in the park. Always loved how she used the phrase " You have no where to be and nothing to do." She has a calming presence that made the class wonderfully relaxing.
