- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Writer's conferences are great learning opportunities which I attend as often as possible. I also have a constant supply of books and manuals on fiction and non-fiction writing, and grammar (never thought I would consider reading one of those!) to continually maintain and improve my efforts. CDs from conferences also provide learning while traveling. I love to learn and consider myself a life-long learner!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love to write - it is the one thing I cannot stop doing :) Paper and pen are the most important items to carry. When I read books I often find errors, and no longer can read without a pen or highlighter nearby. It's become rather a game to see if I can find a book with no errors.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Writing or rewriting, copyediting (basic to developmental), proofreading, condensing word count, short stories, teaching articles, devotions, family stories, obituary, eulogy, grant writing assistance, recommendations, complaints, requests, poetry, research
