FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Makeup artistry has always been something I loved. Being in theater for 7 years did it for me -- applying makeup on myself and my co-actors really inspired me to pursue this career. I find it enjoyable and a great creativity outlet. Plus, I see end results right away!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Consider hiring a makeup artist that values cleanliness and sanitation. Makeup products as well as brushes, if not cleaned well, could cause a serious amount of possible breakouts, allergies, and skin irritations. Make sure your makeup artist sanitize cosmetic materials in front of you and have a great amount of disposable applicators. Nothing worse than having a raging stye on your wedding day.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The thing about bridal makeup and hiring a makeup artist on your wedding -- some people often overlook this. Brides shell out a good amount of money on flowers and photography and sometimes DIY the makeup. Though the DIY route is good, having your makeup last all day and look great is important. All eyes are on you and everybody's going to want a picture of you or with you, so looking your greatest in photos is really important!
