FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I usually charge $175. for a wedding. I can also provide at a nominal extra cost and if desired, sand ceremonies, unity candles and other extra touches to the ceremony. When a couple is combining families, with children, I often prepare a part in the ceremony to include all the members of the new family. As a former teacher, I know how to inspire children to be involved.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My fee includes a meeting with the couple, or the rehearsal. We e mail and text and talk on the phone and if needed meet several times. All meetings are included.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a doctorate in Educational Leadership from UNM, a counseling degree and an English teaching degree. I am an ordained clergy - only for performing weddings. I am a retired educator and retired as Assistant Secretary of Education for Instructional Support in the State of NM. I was a high school principal, so I know lots about running events -- graduations, etc. So officiating a wedding is fun and delights me. I have spoken in public many times over the years with positive reviews.
