DFW Service Pros
About this pro
3 years in business
60 hires on Thumbtack
DFW came and hauled years of heavy trash away for us, something we never would have been able to do. They were polite, hard working and strong. I plan to have them back for another project soon. I like their 'can do' attitude.Oct 17, 2018Verified
I had the worst experience within Ryan and his company! Ryan begins by saying he’s a retired police officer. Since my husband and I are both officers we chose Ryan. The first day he was suppose to show but his truck broke down so he called and was going to come out the next day. No one ever showed up. I sent him a text telling him. His first reaction was blaming the worker for not showing but did not attempt to make things right with us. I asked him why he didn’t even try to make things right. He apologized and said he fired the worker and that he would personally be there with workers the next day. I never hear anything from Ryan but when we got home we were SHOCKED at the quality of work that had been done and the damage to our property. I contacted Ryan who had not been there as promised. He explained that his daughter had been at the hospital and that’s why he wasn’t there. He said that he wouldn’t cash our check and would repair the damages. I told him I wanted him out the next day to look a the damages and asked for 6pm. He said he would get back with me and when he did he asked to come out between 10-12. I said ok and had the day off. I didn’t feel like he was going to show up. The next day around 1130 I texted him asking if he was still coming by. He said yes that he had just finished and was putting my address in his GPS. Eleven minutes later he texted that he wasn’t going to be able to make it because he couldn’t get back to the hospital in time. I immediately called and he didn’t answer. He never asked if there was another time he could come by just as he had done before. Ryan is either a horrible business owner or a complete liar. Needless to say we would never recommend Ryan to anyone especially when he lowers himself to use the “I’m a retired officer” to gain trust but he doesn’t even take care of ones he knows that are officers. The pictures included are the before picture of the mess they left including damaging out gate and electrical conduit! They were suppose to remove all of the bushes in the picture burn leaving the tree. They yanked the bushes out with a truck and tow straps. We know this because the broken straps were left in the yard as well. Although Ryan initially said he would repair the damage, he now say and we can use the insurance through Thumbtack. Beware stay clear of this company!!May 17, 2018VerifiedRyan M.'s reply
Customer is correct I didn’t show up on time because a family emergency. We also did run over her electric conduit line. The problem was the electric conduit line ran across her driveway and we did not have much of a choice we did not mean to break it and offered to fix it. We did not drive on her yard that was from pulling bushes out which is what she requested because he asked me “get rid of them.
we had an arrangement that was pushed back 30 minutes and he decided to go do another project. He said he was almost done but I waited almost two hours and left when he didn't show. Update The purpose of a review is to give other people some insight into how you work. You were not there at 9:30, you messaged me at 9:24am stating you will be there in 20 to 30 min. Secondly, you messaged me at 10:55am stating you were almost done and I messaged you at 12:35pm stating I was leaving, That's 1 hr and 40 min which is almost 2 hrs. I feel I was fair in my review. We had an arrangement and you prioritized another person's need ahead of an arrangement that I made a day earlier. Lastly, the property is a rental property with tenants and their families. I gave them a timeline of when work would be performed. You don't need to justify stuff to me, you can run your business any how you want. I am just reviewing our interaction. I will have another handyman perform the work.May 12, 2018VerifiedRyan M.'s reply
Actually I was there at 9:40 sorry. Point is you agreed because you were running late. That morning you didn’t know how long you were going to be. I told you at 11:00 I’m ALMOST finished.
They worked at the job until it was perfected. We will use them again.Oct 5, 2018Verified
I had some water damage done to my home and Ryan was extremely responsive and helpful in getting this issue fixed. He is very friendly and really cares about making sure the job gets done right, while not intentionally marking up the cost. I will definitely use him and DFW Service Pros again in the future for other jobs around the house. Thanks again Ryan!Oct 1, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? They're competitive, but affordable. I still use the same labor rates I’ve used in the last 5 years.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? To meet them in person and inspect their project to make sure I understand their expectations and educate owner of any issues that would hinder it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was a lifeguard growing up in high school, had a side business working and maintaining pools when I was a Cop. So I would say approximately 25 years.
