Joyful Voice

Introduction: Husband and wife team, Judy and Matthew Burke have over 15 years of teaching experience combined and have been on the music faculty at 4 universities. A job in the Army chorus has brought them from Connecticut to Virginia and they are eager to launch their studio in the Arlington area. Vocal Students will learn classical vocal technique, which informs all styles of singing from Jazz, Broadway (mixed belting and full belt), Choral singing, Early Music, Opera, Art Song, Pop and much more. Their students are winning competitions, roles and scholarships. Joyful Voice alumni have attended conservatories including: Manhattan School of Music Eastman School of Music University of Michigan New England Conservatory Shennandoah Conservatory Berkley School of Music Oberlin Yale Indiana University University of Maryland All ages of students are welcome! We are excited to join you in pursuit of your goal. Both Matthew and Judy are professional musicians themselves but they agree that the thrill of performing pales in comparison to the thrill of seeing their students achieve their goals.
