FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We find that each event request is unique and pricing therefore must be catered to your specific needs. We want to work with you and are committed to sticking to your budget. Often we can find ways to save you money and essentially pay for ourselves. Let's talk about your needs and together determine fair compensation. We promise to provide exceptional service at a great value.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my BA in Psychology from Emory University where I also minored in Spanish. I was an extremely competitive athlete and even played basketball in college. I understand and work well with people and am tenacious. In college, I was introduced to an Atlanta nonprofit that I fell in love with and worked with for 6 years. In 3 years, I worked to become Deputy Director and developed my skills as a planner, negotiator, manager, advocate, and visionary. I had the incredible opportunity to graduate from the University of Georgia's ELPNO program (Executive Leadership Program for Nonprofit Organizations) as well as participate in the WPI program (Women's Policy Institute) where I worked with phenomenal women from all sectors on passing safe harbor legislation in Georgia. On the side, I babysat, cleaned houses, and worked as a wedding planner's assistant. I'm a hard worker, extremely detailed, am incredibly thorough and know Atlanta's landscape well. I decided to branch out on my own because I felt I could do more to help. I think that in partnering with individuals, companies, and nonprofits, we can optimize our results. Beth Teal Events is about maximizing resources through focusing on our strengths. And, of course, having a great time doing it! After all, we're here to help you celebrate!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from the nonprofit world--many years in fundraising, special events, and program design and implementation for children ages birth to 18. What I loved most was the ability to create unique, thoughtful events. Each was its own unique challenge--producing a high quality event with extremely limited resources. The reward always came on event day seeing all the hard work come together--the smiles of joy on kids faces and the positive feedback from guests who can't wait for the next event!
