FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for Professional Organizing work is $60/hour, though we can discuss discounts for multiple sessions that are scheduled and paid in advance. Order Up is, in addition to a hands-on organizing company, an educator. Helping clients learn what systems that they can continue to use and maintain is an important part of OrderUp! Organizing's philosophy. Home Staging prices will vary based on whether the home is furnished or empty, the level of decluttering that is needed and, in a furnished home, whether the home owner wants just consulting plan or hands-on help carrying out the plan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every client is a little different. The first part of the process is to go through the home and see the spaces that bother the client and where they want to start. It is important to understand what the client is looking for as a final result. It is also necessary to know how mail, groceries and other new items come into the house and are stored. Some clients can work independently on small projects between sessions and others need more one-on-one work. In order for me to understand how best to help a client, I ask lots of questions about space use, preference as to the amount of visual clutter a client is comfortable with and many more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a life-long organizer, this profession comes to me naturally. With two degrees from Georgia Tech's College of Architecture and a long career as a free-lance graphic designer, I have been able take advantage of a strong, creative eye for design and a penchant for repurposing when helping my clients gain organizational skills or prepare their homes for sale. I am a member of the National Organization of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO). NAPO offers extensive training opportunities that have given me tremendous insight into how I approach organizing and how to pass these skills along to my clients.
