Introduction: Five years ago, I discovered the need for more private instructors in my hometown of Atlanta. Since then, I’ve worked with clients of all ages in order to help them discover their full potential, while taking on an approach that focuses on musicianship, technique, and artistry. I use a mixture of Dalcroze, Kodaly, and Suzuki methods to personalize training to each one of my students. The Fine Arts are incredibly important to me, and I love being able to share it with others. It brings me joy to be able to shape a new generation of artists who can make intelligent decisions, and perform work that really matters. Mateo is a great teacher, he is very responsive when it came to practicing the fundamentals. With his unique style of teaching he taught me the basics of the guitar.

I have two boys that have learned so much through Mateos teaching. He was their first music teacher, and showed them both to appreciate music. One of my boys now plays the alto saxophone as well as the piano, while the other continues to play the guitar. Mateo is dedicated to his students, and is able to adapt to their learning needs. Having my sons work with Mateo has been very rewarding, and I would recommend him 100%.

My daughter really enjoys taking piano lessons with Mateo. She is really interested in learning the piano and I believe most of that has to do with Mateo's encouragement and engagement level during the lessons. Mateo seems to really care about his students and according to my daughter, he is "really funny".

By far the best Piano teacher we have ever had. He is able to keep my son moving forward without overwhelming him. It is a constant happy progress. Excellent ability to balance learning with fun. My son has never made so much progress and enjoyed it at the same time.
