Phil and to all prospective customers reading this, we urge you to read all of our other reviews, and then read on: Prior to the move, we answered nearly one dozen calls and separate communications asking a variety of unusual questions (to continue to ease our customer's mind). On moving day, our movers reported that a large percentage of the customer's belongings were worn or damaged. The job was completed within the time frame quoted (3 hours to move a 2-story, 2 bedroom townhouse), and the movers both received $40 tips each, which is common for happy customers. 5 hours after the move: The customer called extremely upset to say: His move took too long, our movers were incompetent teenagers (20 & 32 year olds with a combined 14 years of moving experience-our best movers praised by all previous customers), and that a bunch of his furniture was damaged during the move. He immediately demanded his money back (5 hours after paying an $80 tip)! As the owner, I personally returned to the customer's home the very next morning to assess the alleged damage reported over the phone. We have never once damaged anything, so this definitely warranted a personal visit. Upon my arrival with both movers, his entire attitude changed. Once I showed him how we identify new vs older damage, he suddenly admitted that the items were already damaged before the move. He then showed me a couch (sitting near the corner of a sharp end table), with a tear at that very corner, and insisted on getting his money back. While much of the damage on the couch was older, I have been at this long enough to know that the scratch he was referring to was new. Since I had no way to prove it wasn't us, I did the right thing and paid for his sofa. Again, our movers insisted it was already damaged, (and based on the erratic interactions with this customer, and my employees' track records, I definitely believe them) but in an attempt to satisfy our customer, we settled the matter, per the free insurance coverage we provide to every customer. He was happy to accept the payment, and was making small talk and being friendly with myself and our movers as he saw us out. Metro Moving Company did every thing professionally possible to satisfy our customer, despite the obvious difficulty, and then we received this review. We hope that this depiction does not deter anyone from receiving the outstanding service we offer and stand behind. And to protect ourselves in the future, we have since implemented a new process where our movers report any previous damage to both the customer and our office immediately, along with photos as evidence, documenting and avoiding these types of discrepancies. Thank you to all our past, current, and future customers who continue to trust and support our brand and our amazing crew!

Anthony and his team are amazing. We had a large move (4 bedroom house) and each residence is 3 floors. It was hot and there was a LOT of stuff but this team maintained the highest level of professionalism I’ve ever seen from movers. They arrived on time, uniformed and ready to move.
