This contractor did such a poor job on installing a gate to our fence. When he arrived he couldn't stop talking about how great he was that he was licensed and bonded. He told me that he does excellent work and was even critiquing the deck that we just had done. He was very unprofessional and was rather arrogant and even kept demanding water from me. I know its a hot day but he was very rude about it. He said that he had a dinner to go to later that evening but would be back the next day. The work was not finished and I was not happy. First of all, the gate was not what I wanted. I wanted something that had a decorative top that matched our fence or that actually looked like a fence with the dog ear top. He said he gave me an option of what I wanted. He gave me no option. In fact, the picture he showed me from Home Depot where he got the materials was the one with the dog ear top which I thought he was getting. When I said I didn't like it he acted offended. Secondly, he didn't even finish it. The sides had to be leveled because one side was leaning and there was a big gap right next to one of the ends. He wanted all the money up front for the gate. He charged us $300 for materials and $300 for labor. I told him that I absolutely would not pay him until the job was 100% complete. After that he got offended and he said "ma'am I am licencensed and bonded." After that I felt really uncomfortable with how he was talking to me so I went to grab my husband. My husband gave him the $300 for materials which now I believe we paid more for what he paid for it (he didn't show us the receipts). He agreed to come back the next day and to this day we still have not seen him, about a month later. He even texted me that night with a decorative topper that would match our fence. Since then, no word. He also didn't take the old wood which we now have to dump ourselves and the gate is left unfinished. See attached image below.

dog crap everywhere. signed a contract everting was fine until it was time to pay. to us f off and refused to pay. customer was broke and didnt have the funds. would never work with these people again. lucky they paid for the material. only after I threatened to take material back and leave.
