- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a general rule, I charge $250 for ceremony music plus travel outside of Austin, $150/hour for a solo gig and $300/hour for a jazz trio plus travel outside of Austin. For studio work I generally charge $35 an hour or I'll offer you a bundle deal. There might be extra costs depending on travel time, gear and custom repertoire requests which require extra preparation time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I want to find out what exactly you are looking for. Each job is different and you can tell me best what you need. Then I will make some suggestions and we will nail down all details concerning your gig/recording project
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied music for over 20 years, and I have two Masters in Music. As an original artist, I have toured the world and released 6 albums under my own name. I have played in a plethora of musical settings, ranging from original projects, singer/songwriter, jazz, country, rock, latin, blues to cover bands, wedding bands and pitch orchestra. I read music and have the necessary skills to learn new music very fast. I studied Music production and know a lot about microphones, acoustics, and how to make something sound good fast. There is little that can't be done.
