FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I sit down with a new client, I first ask them what kind of makeup user they are and what event they are wanting to get ready for. Some girls want a very light "no makeup" look. Others want the Instagram glam, or as I call it "Instaglam". We then go into a skin consultation, to make sure that I am using the best products for your face. We will discuss your skincare routine and how to best take care of the looks you were blessed with. While I am working on your makeup application, I will ask if you would like to watch while I apply. That way, we can discuss tips and tricks so that you can be better at your every day makeup!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a makeup artist for Dior, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Laura Mercier Cosmetics and GlamGlow. I have been trained by these brands to educate and provide elite makeup and skin services with the highest quality products.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Growing up an ugly duckling, I found that one of the only things that would cheer me up after a long day of being bullied - was to play with makeup and change my look. I started modeling in 2009, and I admired the makeup artists I was able to work with. After speaking with local artists, I began interning and learning from Austin's best.
