Introduction: Private piano, organ, and keyboard lessons offered in West St. Louis County. Lessons are tailored to the individual needs & goals of the student. Variety of styles & musical tastes. Fall recital (casual) and spring recital (formal). Former classroom teacher works well with all ages, children to adult. Relates to and understands teenagers! Inspired by relatives and teachers, I fell in love with keyboard music and also learned to play the organ. Music has been a big part of my life ever since. Over the years, I have played for weddings, funerals, school concerts, and church services (traditional & contemporary). Now I'm passing along what I've learned to the next generation! Learning to read and play music has many benefits. My own children have transferred the skills they learned in basic piano to other instruments of interest, such as guitar, drums, and voice. I hope to instill in my students a love of music and an appreciation for different types of music. Seasonal music and decorations add to the experience. Various hand-held percussion instruments are used for practicing rhythms and adding sound effects. My keyboard instruments include a baby grand piano, two electronic keyboards, and an organ.
