- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you commit to the program with the appropriate payment, we send you a contract and questionnaire to complete so we can prepare a plan tailored to your specific needs. Then we'll set up a 30-minute video session to discuss the plan and address any questions you might have. Depending on which package you purchased, you'll get weekly or monthly feedback to stay on track. For in-person training, It's better to meet with you first before any payment is made so we can discuss the way I train, your goals, and how the plan will help you reach your goals. We will also discuss any health limitations that may impact your program. Then we set meeting times for workouts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Wellness from McKendree University with minors in sports performance and sports psychology. My program included four semesters of nutrition classes as well as numerous classes on the human body and how the body functions and responds to exercise. I hold the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation (CSCS), which is available only to those with a bachelor's degree in health-related fields by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I re-certified in 2018. I am also a certified Weight Management Specialist from the American Council on Exercise.
