Introduction: My reiki practice began as a way to treat my own chronic health problems. Reiki helped to relieve some of the physical symptoms I was experiencing from lyme disease, but also helped bring me back to feeling clear and centered mentally and emotionally. I love being able to share this practice with others and support others in their own healing.
I believe that illness often comes as a way to show us where we're out of balance. After years of working deadline to deadline in a high pressure job, this work helps me every day to find balance in my own life. REIKI = LOVE = HEALING.

My father was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) syndrome which is pain in the jaw joint that can be caused by a variety of medical problems. He tried everything to relieve himself of the excruciating pain in his left jaw that he rated 9 out of 10. From ice and hot packs to pain pills, seeing the Dentist and Head and Neck specialist that tried to readjust his jaw back into place, nothing helped. He couldn't eat or sleep due to the pain. Two weeks after dealing with his pain, he was able to get a hold of a facial maxillo surgeon for a surgical consult only to find that he had to wait another two weeks for an appointment! He didn't think he could stand the pain for that long, so I did an on-line search for a Reiki-Specialist. Our family believes in Healing with positive energy as it worked in the past to help my father recover from a quadruple bypass. After doing the on-line search, it lead me to the thumb-tack website and Caroline Ely responded within 24 hours of the inquiry with an affordable quote. Caroline was easy to make an appointment with and was gracious enough to come to my parents home to provide the treatment. She was punctual to the meeting time, and even brought her own massage table! She treated both my parents for an hour each and after the first treatment had remarkable results. My mother was recovering from a bad case of pneumonia from which she was in the hospital for 11 days. She came home with oxygen and had not been able to be weaned off of it for a month. After the Reiki treatment, my mom was able to wean the oxgen off and has had no more episodes of shortness of breath. My father's jaw pain immediately decreased from and unbearable 9 to a 3. Caroline came back for a second session 2 weeks later and brought my Dad's jaw pain down to a 2 which resulted in him being able to avoid getting facial surgery to realign his jaw. I highly recommend Caroline Ely. She was a very effective Reiki Specialist with a kind and compassionate heart. She is truly a professional and I cannot thank her enough for helping alleviate my parents health concerns.
