Verna and Martin were so amazing to work with. We worked with them on two separate projects and each time they delivered beyond our expectations! Their attention to detail, vision for understanding the frame, and talent for bringing subject matter to life on video is spectacular. I am in awe of how much they are able to produce in such a short time. They are super awesome to work with from a customer perspective-- they are flexible and willing to work with you given certain limitations (i.e. time, money, needed deliverables, etc.) Every gig they do they are 110% there and in the space. You can tell they care a lot about the quality of their work. It is very refreshing to me!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Although we work with most budgets (within reason), our standard pricing is as follows: - full shoot day $1200+ - half shoot day $700+ These rates include one cinema video camera, pro lighting and sound covering most interview setups and B-roll, and a 2 person crew. We can add more cameras, drones, sliders, gimbals or crew for additional costs. - editing day rate $350/day A 2 to 3 minute final video typically takes 3 to 5 edit days, so you're looking at $1,050 - $1,750, depending the complexity of the edit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. We chat to discuss all details. 2. Client fills out video intake if project is complex. 3. We coordinate all aspects of production. 4. You send via Dropbox all assets to be integrated. 5. In 7-10 business days (rush jobs available), we deliver an online draft for your feedback. 6. Most projects include one major and one minor review pass. 7. We incorporate feedback within 3-5 business days, although additional review passes are available for a nominal fee. 8. You download the high resolution final video from a private link we provide to Vimeo or Dropbox, or we can FTP to a specified server. 9. DVD authoring & duplication / USB delivery also available.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 20 years of combined experience crafting stories for organizations, small businesses, and corporations. Martin Bessoni has over 15 years experience shooting, editing, and leading production teams for scripted and non-scripted narrative films. Verna Lim began shooting and editing documentary-style stories about grassroots leaders for nonprofits and foundations back in 2005. As an anthropologist, she's adept at making people from all walks of life feel comfortable in front of a camera. As a small business marketer and digital storytelling trainer, she teaches how to distill one's message using key images and words, and convey a call-to-action that inspires people.
