I first became professionally acquainted with Joe Baran nearly twenty years ago, and throughout all this time I have found Joe to be a consistently talented and dedicated creative professional.
Joe is an incredibly capable director of photography, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. He is a terrific collaborator with a wealth of professional experience from which to draw. Joe invests himself in the project, becoming a co-owner, being sincerely concerned about its success. Joe does not believe in “good enough.” He is truly motivated to do his best work at all times.
When I have a project that requires a shoot, Joe is always my first choice of shooter. Always. Honestly. I feel I get the best results, and have the most fun, when Joe is my DP.

We used Joe Baren for a cooking segment in our documentary that we are creating. He was on time, professional, and organized. We've worked with dozens of videographers and Joe's service was hands down one of the best experiences we've had. Not only was his service impeccable, but the quality of his work stands alone amongst a sea of people that own a camera. We won't hesitate to use him again in the future!
