FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hi! Below is some information regarding rates for different services: For Lessons --> For computer or photography lessons, I charge an hourly rate of $55. I do expect the student to have their own camera or computer to work with, but will bring my own equipment, as well as anything additional I feel would aid in the lesson included in the price. I am happy to negotiate package rates or discounts for someone who knows they will commit to a certain amount of lessons. For Photography --> For photoshoots, my rate will vary depending on the location of the job, what the job entails, if there is any post-production involved, and what the turnaround time is. In general, I will have my equipment and one photo assistant with me, which may or may not be included in the rate I give, again depending on the job. I am always open to negotiating package deals offering discounts whenever possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will first want to know what the customer is looking for and what their budget is. If the budget is reasonable for what they are asking for, I will spend time reviewing their needs and coming up with a plan / solutions to meet their needs in a timely fashion. I am always up front with what I am able to deliver and by when. I'm also a perfectionist and I like to brainstorm, which helps ensure my customer winds up with the best possible outcome.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 11 years of experience in photography, including the time I spent getting my degree in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. In addition to being a professional photographer, I am also a professional retoucher. I take pride in the knowledge I have been given over the years and love passing it on to eager students! I have experience shooting a wide variety of imagery, including beauty, fashion, portraiture, pets, action, landscape and still life, and have worked commercially as well as in the Fine Art world.
