FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer student discounts and am willing to be flexible with my fees! If you're unable to pay my requested amount, please let me know and I am happy to discuss an option that works for you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you have audition or other specific material to work on, we would focus on that. Otherwise you could either bring in material you are interested in (monologues, scenes, etc) or I could assign some to you. Depending on your specific focus, we could work on scripts from theatre or film. The details of the process depends drastically on your individual desires as an actor and your current experience and knowledge. Discussions of character relationship, intention, back story as well as understanding of scene work and text analysis would all be a part of it! As for in camera, I can assist with the your understanding of how to work with the camera in auditions to your advantage in telling the story.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters from Yale School of Drama and a Bachelors from UC Santa Barbara where I was educated in theatre of all kinds (contemporary, Shakespeare, clown, etc.) and have vast training in voice and speech, including accents and dialects. Additionally I have extensive on-camera training with top industry professionals such as Bob Krakower and Marci Phillips. Outside of my teaching career, I continue to take classes weekly.
