- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The majority of my jobs are fixed price proposals that include all labor and materials. Certain small jobs, or those that have an open ended scope of work, are done on a time and materials basis. Any design work is charged either hourly or as a percentage of job cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do a site visit to review the project scope and ensure relevant factors are included prior to developing a formal proposal. Design work can either be charged as a stand alone service, or incorporated into the proposal for work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
5 yrs of apprentice level general remodeling and specialized finish carpentry experience; 8 yrs of journeyman level experience, with focus on finish carpentry and custom woodworking. Continuously seek on-going training and education in the newest materials, methods and techniques. 4 yrs as certified home inspector.
